Marnisha Mintlow is originally from Dayton, Ohio.
From serving in the Marine Corps to serving her community!
She participates in making the community she lives in and those she has lived in better. Whether it be as an educator, coach or volunteering with a local or national non-profit. Her goal is to Give Life!
Marnisha served four years in the Marine Corps, stationed at Cherry Point, NC, 2nd Marine Corps Aircraft Wing, Aviation Logistics Department. She was responsible for knowing the location of all the Marine Corps aircraft on the East Coast. She also maintained the Technical Publication Library (TPL) where the repair manual for each aircraft was located.
After being honorably discharged from the Marine Corps she relocated to Virginia Beach where she graduated from Bryant & Stratton College with a Bachelor's in Business Administration with a minor in Information Technology.
While in Virginia it was her pleasure to be a charter member of the Norfolk, VA chapter of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW), where she served on the membership committee and lead the Public Relations Committee. She became a member of the Alpha Chi Chapter of Iota Phi Lambda, Sorority, Inc., where she served proudly as the Journalist for two years.
From 2006 to 2016, she was honored to be an educator, and step team coach in a variety of cities in the Hampton Roads area. She was able to facilitate learning in multiple subjects, mostly Math, Special Education and Microsoft Excel, to all learners from Pre-Kindergaten to college students and adults.
In 2016, she donated her kidney.
She relocated to Los Angeles California and earned her Masters of Business Administration from University of Arkansas Grantham.
She currently teaches Microsoft Excel at a community adult school and tutors on the weekends.
She is a life time member of the NCNW and active with the Mary McLeod Bethune, Los Angeles Section.
She is the President of the Gamma Mu chapter of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc.
She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., San Fernando Valley Alumnae Chapter where she serves on multiple committees and on the Far West Regional Grow with Google committee.
She is currently working on her Doctorate of Education in Leadership for Organizations at the University of Dayton. Her research areas are Leadership, Inclusion, Motivation and Engagement in the Black and Non-Profit communities.
She currently is a resident of Los Angeles county, California where she continues to volunteer for non-profit organizations that advocate for veterans, women and Black people. She is a mother of 2 sons and Grammy Ma to 1 granddaughter.
